F.6.24.23 Robert Carlson.jpgWe are terribly saddened by the passing of our beloved son, brother, nephew uncle and friend, Robert Lee Carlson Jr. aka: Bobby, Wheels, Speed, Prince Run a Lot, Bobber and Uncle Scooby.

Bobby was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan (5 weeks early and he never stopped being in a hurry since he arrived….) on April 11, 1979 and ran to meet up with Jesus June 6, 2023 in Fountain Valley, California where he was visiting.

In his short life, he lived in Westland, MI; Alpena, MI; Destin, FL, (graduating from Ft. Walton Beach High School); Jamaica; Birmingham, AL; Ardmore, AL; Phenix City, AL; Savannah, GA and Rogersville, AL.

Bobby lived a LOT in his short life. He loved to golf, fish, hunt, build things, play with his precious Chocolate Labs, Peyton Bear Bryant (aka P. Bear) and Cocoa, hang with friends and family, watch movies, cook, thrift shop, go to pawn shops and help his dad at our Army/Navy Surplus Store and other business ventures. He had a wide collection of hats, movies, and knives, (that he was always cleaning or sharpening). He took pride in doing whatever he was doing as unto the Lord. He had a spirit of excellence in all that he did.

He had a huge heart and loved to give to others in any way he could. He was always encouraging others even complete strangers, telling them to have a fantastic day or thanking them for something they did. He left an indelible impression upon all who encountered him. He had such an infectious laugh that would cause everyone around to begin laughing just because his was so contagious and brought joy to all.

He leaves behind, his loving parents, Bob and Debbi Carlson; his siblings, Donna Wagnitz (Brian), Dan Durbin (CarolBeth), and Breana Uptigrove (Darin). His oldest brother, David, preceded him in death in 1984. He also leaves behind, numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.

We will be having a celebration of Bobby’s life on Saturday June 24th, at Grace House in Florence, AL (Behind Home Depot on Seville, St.), from 1-4. ALL are welcome, a meal will be provided by the North AL Men’s Encounter and the North AL Women’s Encounter.
