Robert Lee “Bob” Creed – Obituary

Robert Lee “Bob” Creed, 84, passed away August 2 in Madison, Alabama. Born in Garden City, Kansas to Audy and Anita Creed, he grew up in Wichita where he graduated from North High School in 1951. He received a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Kansas in 1957 and attended law school but left just a few hours short of his degree. After working with his father in the family insulation business for many years, he started Comfort Temp Insulation Company which he ran successfully until his retirement. He married his life partner, M. Elaine Creed, in 1972 who he loved until her death in 2009. Bob is survived by his nieces Melissa Maloy and Mimi (Steve) Nett, his nephew Matt Maloy and his step children Marshall Poe and Holly (Jimmy) Griggs. He was proceeded in death by his parents, his beloved wife, his sister Audrey Ann Malloy, his brother-in-law Richard “Dick” Maloy and his nephew Jeffrey Malloy. Services will be held Saturday, August 18 at 9am at St. John’s Catholic Church in Madison. A lifelong Jayhawk fan, remembrances may be given to KU Endowment.
