Robert-Crouse-1448037692Robert Lane Crouse, age 64, died Friday morning November 20th at Jackson General Hospital.

He was born and reared in Chester County, the son of Faye Beshires Crouse and the late Earl Franklin Crouse. Robert graduated from Chester County high School in 1969. He worked with his father and brother as a bricklayer, working commercially until he had a fall accident while laying brick at the Jackson Civic Center. After his accident he went to school at West Tennessee Business College and studied accounting. He was service manager and shop foreman at the Ford dealership in Henderson for 27 years. He worked for both Bolton Ford and Dwain Seaton Ford.
He loved to hunt prior to his accident and afterwards became an avid trap shooter. He had won many tournaments. He was a member of the Tennessee Trap Shooter’s Association and had been inducted into the Tennessee Trap Shooter’s Hall of Fame in Nashville. He had also participated in several World Trap Shooter Association Championships.

He was a member of the Cave Springs Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife Melva Jo Crouse, a son Brian Crouse, his mother Faye Beshires Crouse, two brothers; Roger Crouse and Randy Crouse and a sister Angela Evans all of Henderson.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am Monday at Cave Springs Baptist Church with Brother Ronnie Geary officiating. Burial will follow at Cave Springs Cemetery with Trap Shooter honors performed by the local Trap Shooter’s Club.

The family will receive friends at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Casey Chapel from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM Sunday and Monday morning from 8:00 and until 10:30 AM.
