Robert L. “Shag” Tittle 90, of Sheffield, passed away Tuesday August 16, 2016. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Thursday August 18, 2016 at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Sheffield Oakwood Cemetery. Rodney Shewbart will officiate.
He was a native of Georgia. He was an electrician and a 55 year member of the I.B.E.W. Local #558. He enjoyed retirement spending time with his wife of 68 years Edith, who preceded him in death, family and friends. He was also preceded in death by his son Ronnie Tittle and three brothers. He was an avid fan of the University of Alabama football.
Survivors are son Danny Tittle (Valerie) of Florence, AL daughter Lisa McCallister (Bobby) of Muscle Shoals, AL; sisters: Mary Tittle Davis and Ruby Jean Palmer both of Florence, AL and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be members of the I.B.E.W. Local #558.
The family would like to thank Tresa Holt, Gentiva Home Health, Dr. McAnalley, the fourth floor nurses, techs and staff at Helen Keller Memorial Hospital.
