Robert Kurtis Meadows of Huntsville, AL passed away peacefully on Saturday at Crestwood Medical Center after a brief illness. He was 59 years old.
Kurtis was born in Huntsville on September 13, 1964. He graduated from Grissom High School in 1982 and joined the army in 1983. After returning home he worked for Dallas Young who owned the Chevron Station on Whitesburg Drive and Marsheutz Avenue before moving to Drake Avenue. For a few years he lived in Tuscaloosa and worked for Big Ten Tires. When he returned to Huntsville he was employed by Express Oil and worked for them at different locations throughout the city.
Kurtis is survived by his mother and stepfather, Joanne and Donald Boster; father, Michael C. Meadows; siblings, Jon M. Meadows of Huntsville, and Carey Meadows and Angela Seagle (Wayne) all of Tuscaloosa; aunt, Mary Jane Avans of Atlanta; and nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Robert H. and Lurline McCarley of Huntsville, and William A. and Beatrice Meadows of Tuscaloosa, stepmother, Barbara Meadows, uncle, Mallory Meadows of Tuscaloosa, and aunt, BJ Dubois of Atlanta, GA.
