Funeral service for Robert “Junior” Hood, Jr., 84, of Town Creek, will be Monday, September 23, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Ricky Harville officiating and Lawrence Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Moulton Memory Garden. Visitation will be tonight from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Hood died on Saturday, September 21, 2013, at NHC Healthcare in Moulton. He was born on July 13, 1929, in Winston County, to the late Robert Hood, Sr. and the late Mable Lorene Johnson Hood. He was an equipment operator at Holland & Woodard.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his son, Hershel Hood; and daugher, Linda Sue Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Lorene Flannagin Hood; son, Bobby Neal Hood (Donna); daughter, Robin Hood, all of Town Creek; three grandsons, Michael Hood, Timothy Smith, and Adam Montgomery; four granddaughters, Jennifer Stafferd, Brandy August, Kimberly Smith, and Kassy Montgomery; seven great grandchildren; four brothers, Edwin Hood (Daphene), Curtis Hood (Martha), Harold Hood, and Donald Hood (Brenda); and one sister, Nadine Cameron.
