Robert Joseph McCormick
Bob, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on July 1, 2024, in Huntsville, Alabama at the age of 68.
Bob was born December 27, 1955, in Kodiak, Alaska to Joseph and Sara Louise McCormick.
Bob completed his college studies at Seattle Pacific University before starting his IT carer at Microsoft.
In September 2009, Bob married his best friend Melanie, who he met at Ranier Christian Schools where they were employed. Bob and Melanie relocated to Huntsville, Alabama so Bob could be the System Administrator for the new Command General Staff School on Redstone Arsenal.
He enjoyed a variety of hobbies and interests such as bowling, hiking, flying, skydiving, and carpentry.
Bob had a great sense of humor and a kind gentle spirit that will be missed by everyone that knew him. He was a Christian man who was never more than a phone call away to help with any computer crisis.
Bob enjoyed family time with his grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He enjoyed traveling, science fiction movies, and Star Trek.
Bob is survived by his wife Melanie; his sons Kyle and Brett; his sister Vivian Watts (Jack); his brothers Stephen, Gary, and Gordon; niece Rachelle Hanscomb (Gordon); four grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Sara Louise, his nephew Brian Watts, and brother-in-law Jack Watts.
