Robert Henry ( Bob) Brown, Sr. age 85, of Conyers, GA passed away on Sat., Oct, 22.
Mr. Brown is survived by his wife of 65 years Faye Seaton Brown of Conyers, GA, 4 children; Pamela Brown Ray (Alan) of Huntsville, Sandra Brown Mullis (Phillip) of Oxford, GA, Ronald Bruce Brown (Cheri) of Oxford, GA, Robert H. Brown, Jr. (Lynn) of Oxford, GA, sister; Norma Brown Jones (David-deceased) of Huntsville, 7 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and numerous neices and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents James Oakley Brown and Edna Goza Brown and brothers Horace Edward Brown and James Arlyn Brown.
Mr. Brown attended Lincoln School in Huntsville, AL and the University of AL. He was drafted into the US Army in Sept. 1951 and served until March 1953. He was a former commander and life member of the VFW post 2702 in Huntsville.
He worked at Thikol Chemical Corp. and Brown Engineering prior to his career with the Dept. of the Army at the US Army Missile Command at Redstone Arsenal. He retired from the US Army in 1986 and moved to Conyers, GA. He worked for Tomco Equipment in Loganville Ga. He was a member of Conyers Church of Christ.
Visitation will be Friday evening, Oct. 28, from 5:00 – 8-00 with the funeral service on Saturday, Oct. 29, at 11:00 a.m. at Berryhill Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery. Berryhill Funeral Home is assisting family
