Robert Harry Thompson, 76, of Franklin, TN passed away on September 21, 2019. He was a longtime resident of the Duplex community. Harry drove 20 years for Mason-Dixon Freight Lines and 15 years with Consolodated Freight. He was a member of Hiram Masonic Lodge #7 and Mt. Carmel Cumberland Presbyterian Church. In 1978, he received a Presidential Medal of Honor Award for Life Saving on a highway. Preceded in death by; his parents, Hermon and Janie Glenn Thompson and sister, Mary Ruth Thompson; loving pet Hitch. Survived by; loving wife, Elaine Bradley (Sissy) Thompson; sons, Brad (Heather) Thompson, Chad (Allison Wiley) Thompson and Tad (Amanda) Thompson; grandchildren; Brandy (Shane) Corley, Cale Thompson, Alex Thompson, Cody Thompson and Kaylin Thompson; great-grandchildren, Landon and Jonathan Corley; sister, Faye Harper; brother-in-law, Bobby (Lydia) Bradley nieces and nephews, and loving pet Ace.
Visitation will be 5-9:00PM Tuesday, September 24, 2019 and two hours prior to the service at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral service will be conducted 3:00PM Wednesday, September 25, 2019. Chuck McElhannon officiating and Bobby Bradley to speak. Burial in Williamson Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers are, Cody, Kaylin, Alex and Cale Thompson, Brandy Corley, Bobby Bradley, Heith Bradley, and Michael Hamm. Honorary pallbearers; members of Teamsters Local 480 Nashville, Dr. John Gibson and Dr. Kevin Rankin. Memorials may be made to, Walker Baptist Church, American Heart or Diabetes Associations.
