Robert "Bob" Davis Profile Photo Robert Harry “Bob” Davis, 76, of Lewisburg, Tennessee, passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home on October 25, 2024. Born in Portland, Oregon, Robert was a proud graduate of Marshall County High School in Lewisburg, Tennessee, where he began building a life centered around service, family, and community.

Bob dedicated his life to serving his country and community. Serving more than 20 years in the U.S. military, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and later joined the Tennessee Army National Guard. His commitment to public service extended beyond the military; Bob worked as an engineering draftsman at Heil Quaker, a firefighter for the Lewisburg Fire Department, and was a certified Fire Inspector. Bob was a dedicated Mason at the Dillahunty Masonic Lodge and an active member of the Lewisburg Chapter #318 Order of the Eastern Star. Most recently as a retired city servant, Bob volunteered his time with Lewisburg emergency services.

Bob was a very important part of his church, making sure this place of worship was secure and everyone there was welcomed with a smile, a handshake or a hug, and a “good morning.” He will be missed deeply by his family, friends, and all who were touched by his kindness and sincerity. Known for his generous spirit and commitment to helping others, he leaves behind a legacy of service and compassion.

Bob was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Glenda Joy Davis, his parents, Robert C. and Verline Davis, and his grandparents, Robert L. and Nada Davis and Harry and Sadie Rasmussen. He is survived by his children, James (Shanna) Davis of New Palestine, Indiana, and Kimberly (Scott) Gattis of Columbia, Tennessee; his sister, Patricia Davis of Lewisburg, Tennessee; his cherished grandchildren, Brittany (Josh) Donaldson, Kanvas Phelps, Karysma Phelps, Jacob Davis, Andrew Davis, and Mitchell Gattis; his great-grandson, Knox Donaldson; his niece, Robin Pullum; and several beloved great-nieces and great-nephews.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 3rd from 12:30 until 2:30 PM at the Lewisburg First Presbyterian Church, 122 N 2nd Ave, Lewisburg, Tennessee 37091, immediately followed by the funeral service at 2:30 PM. Burial will follow in Sunset Park & Memorial Gardens. Jason Davis, Ray Luna, Darwin Dickson, Bobby Edde, Bill Thomas, Wes Barron, Wayne Blackwell, and Cody Street will serve as pallbearers. Lewisburg Fire Department and Marshall County Office of Emergency Management will serve as honorary pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lewisburg First Presbyterian Church, 122 N 2nd Ave, Lewisburg, Tennessee 37091, or to the Order of Eastern Star #318 Children’s Christmas Fund, P.O. Box 1243, Lewisburg, TN 37091, in his honor.
