Robert H. Fortner, age 86, of the Big Cove Community passed away on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at the Huntsville Hospital due to Covid-19. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, February 28, 2021 at 2pm at the Big Cove Holiness Church with Brother Mark Warren and Brother Ollie Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Green Valley Cemetery.
Mr. Fortner is survived by his wife of 67 years – Lillian W. Fortner; daughter – Robbie (Dale) Maxwell; son – Chad (Coley) Fortner; grandchildren – Savannah Fortner, Brodie Fortner and Kane Fortner; sister – Sue Sadler; brother – Horace Fortner. He was preceded in death by his parents – E.A. (Dock) & Burney Fortner; sisters – Gladys Byrom and Helen Stilwell; brothers – Donald Fortner and Cary Fortner.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 28, 2021 from 10am-2pm at the Big Cove Holiness Church, 2280 Old Big Cove Road, Owens Cross Roads, Alabama. Please practice Social Distancing and Masking. Funeral immediately following visitation.
