Robert H. “”Bob”” Stanfield – Obituary

bobRobert H. “”Bob”” Stanfield, 68, died Sunday, Oct. 11, 2015, at North Mississippi Medical Center after a brief illness. He was born Dec. 24, 1946, in San Diego, California, to Henderson and Julie Stanfield. He retired after serving 20-plus years in the U.S. Army and was a Vietnam veteran. He was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of Camp Knock 919 and the Valley of the Orient in Honolulu, Hawaii. He was a member of the New Freedom Full Gospel Church. An avid conversationalist, he enjoyed all sports, especially football. He loved to travel and had taken numerous cruises. He loved his wife and children and doted over his grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14, at Lee Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Randy Parchman officiating. Burial with military and Masonic honors will follow in Lee Memorial Park. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
He is survived by his wife, Teresa Warren Stanfield of Okolona; one daughter, Traci McIntosh (Jory) of Haslet, Texas; one son, Chris Stanfield (Becky) of Brighton, Michigan; two stepchildren, Lee Allen Herndon (Dawn) and Hannah Henry (Shane), all of Shannon; six grandchildren, Ashley Stanfield, Aiden McIntosh, Hunter Henry, Cheyanne Henry, Abbie Herndon and Jesse Kate Herndon.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Georgia Stanfield and Susan Cooper.
Pallbearers will be the U.S. Army Honor Guards. Honorary pallbearers will be Sam Warren, Shane Henry, Jerry Haire, Lance Hamilton and Lee Herndon.
Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. today.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital
