Robert Glenn Davis, 90, of Guntersville, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Shepherd’s Cove Hospice on October 22, 2023. Bob was born on March 25, 1933, in Salem, West Virginia. He served in the US Navy during the Korean War and spent his career working in computer programming, retiring from Teledyne Brown in 1992. A devoted father, he is survived by daughter, Janet Lauren Bernarde (Scott) and two sons Jeff Davis and Andy Davis (Lisa). His grandchildren are Kris Bernarde, Katelyn Bernarde, Landon Davis and Monroe Davis. He loved being a part of the Guntersville community and served as a volunteer through numerous organizations including: Church of the Epiphany Outreach Ministry, Marshall County RSVP community tax preparation, Marshall County Guardianship Program, and 23 years with Hospice of Marshall County. He was an avid card player including duplicate bridge at the Guntersville Senior Center and weekly poker nights with longstanding friends. A memorial service will be held 1pm, Saturday, October 28, at Church of the Epiphany in Guntersville, with internment in the church garden, and visitation immediately following in the Parish Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Church of the Epiphany or Shepherd’s Cove Hospice, Albertville, Alabama.
