Robert Gerald Evans, age 68 of Jackson, passed away on October 13, 2021 in Jackson, TN.
Robert was born on March 6, 1953 in Jackson, TN, the son of the late James Robert Evans and Doris Evans Lovell. He was a graduate of South Side High School where he was a Letterman Football player. Robert will be fondly remembered by family and friends as a local entrepreneur, talented artist, and friend to everyone he met.
He was preceded in death by his father James Robert Evans and niece Heather Ivy Mullins.
He is survived by his daughter, Tiffany VanCleve and was a proud grandfather to Vivian, Madeline, and Grayson VanCleve; his mother, Doris Evans Lovell (Terry); sisters, MaryAnn Evans Rainey (Denis), Lisa Evans Newsom (Gary), and Brenda Evans Lawrence (John); brother, Larry Evans; and nieces and nephews, Brooke Newsom Hall, Cory Newsom, Melissa Rainey Ervin, Jason Rainey, Holly Ivy and Jordan Lawrence.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 17, 2021 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at the South Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the South Chapel. Burial will follow in New Friendship Cemetery in Chester County.
