Robert Frederick Moritz, age 77, of Tuscumbia, died Sunday, March 24, 2013 at home with his family and special friends by his side. Visitation will be Tuesday from 11:30 a.m.- 1:00 p.m. at Valdosta Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Jeff Newton officiating. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery.
Mr. Moritz served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He retired from Ford Motor Company after working there for thirty-two years. He retired from the ministry after fifty years.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Moritz; daughters, Phyllis Jones, Sharon Tipping, and Lauretta Stephens; sister, Theresa Seitz; eight grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
