Robert Edward Schneider passed away peacefully at his home in Frisco, Texas on October 14, 2024. Rob was born in Chicago, Illinois on May 17, 1963. Robert’s family moved to Tupelo, Mississippi in 1974. He graduated from Tupelo High School and continued his education at Mississippi State University, earning a degree in accounting. He accepted a position with the Internal Revenue Service in Dallas, Texas. He worked 34 years in various positions, retiring as a manager under the Bank Security Act.

Rob golfed, coached soccer, and was a baseball umpire in his community. He had recently taken up pickleball. He played any sport with fierce determination and many injuries.

Rob was a loving, caring, and sensitive person. He tried to solve everyone’s problems and when he couldn’t solve them, he was there for support.

Rob is survived by his mother, Elizabeth Schneider, of Tupelo, Mississippi; son, Patrick, of New Braunfels, Texas; daughter, Gwenyth, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; sister, Teri Jackson (Clay), of Lufkin Texas; brothers Michael (Lu) of Collierville, Tennessee, and Chris (Sonya) of Oxford, Mississippi; several nieces and nephews and one special great nephew, Crue, and the mother of his children, Pam. He was proceeded in death by his dad, Tony.

A Graveside Service will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at Lee Memorial Park in Verona, Mississippi. Visitation will be from 1 PM to service time at Holland Funeral Directors in Tupelo. Holland Funeral Directors is honored to serve their friends.
