Robert E. Sawyer, Jr., 69 of Athens, passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2020 at home. Mr. Sawyer was born December 16, 1950 to Robert Eugene Sawyer, Sr. and Mary Louise Weiler Sawyer.
There will be a memorial service for Mr. Sawyer at a later date.
Mr. Sawyer loved being with is family. He also enjoyed the Indy 500, woodworking, fishing, camping and traveling.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara J. Sawyer; children, Michael Shawn Sawyer (Catherine), Christopher Martin Sawyer (Judy) and Trina Carol Sawyer; 10 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; 3 nephews; 1 niece; 4 great nephews; 1 great niece.
Preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers and 1 sister.
