Robert E. Russell Robert E. Russell was born on September 10, 1946, the son of the late Johnnie E. and Mabel I. Moody Russell.

Robert was raised in Morris Chapel, Tennessee and graduated from Dunbar High School. He was married to his beloved wife, Anna Nichols, for 38 years. Together, they raised 6 beautiful children, Micheal, Gwen, Michelle, Chris, Greg, and Shayla. Robert was a member of St. Paul AME Church.

One of Robert’s greatest joys was taking care of his family. His work ethic was instilled in his children. He never met a stranger and always went out of his way to help others. Robert was a hard worker, from working at Slant Clothing Factory to Recycling Lawn Care Services and being a mechanic.

Robert E. Russell departed this life on November 8, 2022 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 76 years, 1 month, and 29 days.

He is survived by his daughters, Gwendolyn L. Russell of Atlanta, Georgia, K. Michelle Donaldson of Atlanta, Georgia, and Shayla C. Russell of Savannah, Tennessee; sons, Micheal E. Russell of Christiana, Tennessee, Christopher L. Russell of Christiana, Tennessee, and Gregory A. Russell of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; sister, Francis Burge of Morris Chapel, Tennessee; brothers, Eugene Russell of Selmer, Tennessee and Alexander Russell of Morris Chapel, Tennessee; and grandchildren, Tymaisha Russell, Soteria Russell, Christopher Russell, Corey Russell, Kyan Russell, Trinity Russell, Aubrie Dilworth, Layton Ladd, Noah, and Jordan.

In addition to his parents and wife, Robert was preceded in death by his brothers, Harold Russell and Junior Russell.
