Dr. Robert Dean Taylor was born August 22, 1954 and died October 17, 2024. He practiced family medicine in Arab for over 40 years.
He was preceded in death by his father, Dr. Robert Franklin Taylor; mother, Georgia Gore Taylor; sister, Kathryn Taylor McMasters; and brother-in-law, Mike McMasters.
He was married to Jo Ann Wilbanks Taylor, who survives him. He is also survived by his five children and their spouses; Stephen and Morgan Taylor, Crystal Taylor, Jeffrey and Allycia Taylor, Wesley and Morgan Taylor, and Scott and Jèvana Taylor. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; and niece, Melissa McMasters and nephews Daniel and Ira McMasters, and their three children; and one great granddaughter..
The funeral will be held at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, October 20, 2024 with public visitation beginning at 12:00 noon. Officiating will be Brother Jamey Pruett. Burial will be in Arab Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers will include: Stephen Taylor, Jeffrey Taylor, Wesley Taylor, Scott Taylor, Dylan Culbertson, and Daniel McMasters.
