Mr. Robert Davis Hill, Sr., age 88, passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 in Lexington. Mr. Hill was born May 28, 1935 in Darden to the late Carmen and Ruth Davis Hill. He graduated from LHS in 1953 and made his living farming and driving a truck for Milan Express. Mr. Hill loved being outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was the epitome of hard work and dedication and loved every aspect of his farm.
Mr. Hill was preceded in death by two wives, Mrs. Elizabeth Ellen Ozier Hill and Mrs. Linda Louise Triplett Hill and his brother, Clois Hill. Survivors include his children, Mark Hill (Renee), Robert Hill, Jr., Terry Hill (Susan), Joel Hill, and Patti Duke; his stepson, Tim Bowles; two stepdaughters, Teresa Smith (Mike) and Delaine Hamm; four grandchildren, Caleb Duke, Katie Tate (Trey), Kurt Romelhart (Kristen), and Priscilla Hill; and five great grandchildren.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11 AM, Friday, February 9, 2024 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home in Lexington. Interment will follow in Darden Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, 4 – 9 PM and on Friday, 9 – 11 AM.
