Robert David Moody, 70, passed away Monday, March 11, 2024, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo, MS. David was born on November 20, 1953, in Union County to James Webster and Mae Allison Seger Moody. He enjoyed coon hunting, quail hunting, working horses and mules to the wagon, and riding horses. He loved time spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
David is survived by his wife, Teresa Moody; son, Brent Moody (Savanna); daughter, Kerri Brown; his grandchildren, Camryn Nelson (Jake), Presley Brown, Madi Moody, Lakyn Moody, Cade Tedford, and Kinlee, Braylon, Rayley, and Jayley Moody; his great-grandchildren, Sawyer Nelson and Dutton Brown; and his sisters, Linda Cosper, Cubelle Mount, Ann Washington (Tommy), and Lee Washington (Dean).
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Mae Moody; his brothers, Danny and James Moody; and a granddaughter, Rylee Brown.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at 2PM at Cooke Cemetery with Bro. Joey Moody officiating.
Pallbearers will be John Albert Logan, Ray Hall, Michael Moody, Kevin Henry, Andy Hostetler, and Mike Ford.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Tony Cosper and Jerry Gillespie.
