Robert David Lanehart, age 73, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 21,2024, at Alive Hospice Center in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
David was born on October 17, 1951, to Robert and Doris Lanehart in Westport, Connecticut. He was a 1969 graduate of Joel Barlow High School in Redding, CT. He then went on to play baseball and get his teaching degree from Pikeville College, in Pikeville, Ky. He taught and coached many children for over 20 years in Logan County Schools in Logan, WV before moving to Tennessee.
David is proceeded in death by his parents; brother, Jeffrey Lanehart and wife, Mary Jane Lanehart. David is survived by his daughter, Aime Lanehart and his two granddaughters, Alexis Perry and Allison Perry, all of Logan, WV. He is also survived by his brother, Bruce Lanehart of Charlotte Court House, Virginia; sisters Nancy Cannato of Stratford, Connecticut, Jill Lanehart of Battleboro, Vt., and Patricia Alworth of Bethel, Connecticut; and many nieces and nephews.
