Robert David Hay, 78 of Arley, entered into rest on Saturday, January 1, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Bob was born on April 23, 1943 in Wayne, West Virginia. He loved to ice fish, worked with Boy Scouts, alongside his brother, Homer. He loved to garden and listen to Bluegrass music. Bob worked for General Motors for 30 years, and was involved in the union.

No services are planned at this time.

Bob is survived by his wife of 58 years, Shelva J. Hay; son, Robert David Hay, Jr. and his wife Sherry; grandsons, Robert James Hay and his wife Naima, and Drake Remington Hay and his wife Amanda; great granddaughter, Celise; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Millard and Zella Hay; brothers, Homer, Morgan, Herbert, Jimmy, Herman and Russell Hay; sisters, Nora Bell Little, Maggie Murphy, Mildred Ray; mother and father-in-law, Vera Mae and Tannie Hill.
