Robert Crutcher Richter age 80 of Athens, passed away Friday, June 12, 2015 at his residence. Mr. Richter was born May 12, 1935 in Limestone County, AL to Carl William Richter and Alma Bullington Richter.
Services will be Sunday, June 14, 2015 2:00 p.m., at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. Visitation will be Sunday, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Athens City Cemetery. Brent Richter, Stanley McNatt, Larry Leopard will be officiating. Everett Conn will be officiating the graveside committal service.
He is preceded in death by his parents Carl and Alma Bullington Richter and one great granddaughter Hanalei Pavlovec.
Survived by his wife of almost 60 years, Donise Richter; one daughter, Cindy Perkins and husband, Frank; two sons, Robert “Chuck” Richter and wife, Paula and Brent Richter and wife, Gina; 7 grandchildren Kelli Pavlovec and husband Scott, Kris Perkins and wife Jennica, Brandon Perkins and wife Ashely, Robert Westley Richter and wife Laura, Lauren Richter Stokes and husband Taylor, Allison Richter, and Mallory Richter Hagood and husband Spencer. 6 great-grandchildren; Elizabeth and Shepard Pavlovec, Honor and David Perkins. Nora Kate Richter, and Jackson Kristian Perkins. Three brothers, Joe Carl Richter, William “Bill” Richter and wife, Marianne and Frederick Richter and wife, Magdalene; one sister Helen Richter Vinson and husband John. Numerous nieces nephews family and friends. He is also survived by a special military friend, Gerald Bolin of Arkansas.
Robert was a member and elder of the Hayes Mill Church of Christ. He was a veteran of the United States Army.
Pallbearers will be: Westley Richter, Kristopher Perkins, Brandon Perkins, Scott Pavlovec, Spencer Hagood and Taylor Stokes. Honorary pallbearers will be Tony Richter, Tim Richter, John Kennon, and Phil Kennon.
