Robert “Cobb” Nix passed away September 29, 2023 at Huntsville Hospital Family Care at the age of 69. Mr. Nix was born August 21, 1954 to Lavon Ray Nix and Clara Pauline Smith Nix. He was a brick mason until he retired. Cobb enjoyed football, cooking, and spending time with family and friends. He was known as a kind man.
He is survived by sons and daughters-in law, Michael and Amy Nix and Jason and Tonya Nix; grandchildren, Zachary Nix, Cooper Harris and Desi Curtis; sisters, Ruby Maples and Shelby Woods; brother and sister-in-law, Jacky and Loretta Nix.
He was preceded in death by parents, Lavon Ray and Clara Smith Nix and brother, Billy Ray Nix.
Arrangements for Mr. Nix consist of a visitation at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel on Monday, October 2, 2023 between the hours of 12:00 noon and 2:00 p.m. The funeral service will immediately follow beginning at 2:00 p.m. Brother Bruce Harris will be officiating. Pallbearers will be Shawn Maze, Jake Maze, Andrew Isom, Josh Gregg, Chris Gregg and Zachary Nix. Honorary pallbearer will be Montgomery Harris.
