Robert Charles Mayes of Enterprise, Florida passed away on October 7, 2023. In Orange City Florida at Centus Memory Care with hospice.
He was born December 25th, 1937, in Los Angles California. He received his master’s degree in agriculture and educating from Middle Tennessee State University, Murfreesboro TN. He graduated from Smyrna High Schol where he returned and taught one year at Castle Heights Military School in Lebanon, TN. Then he moved to Enterprise and continued teaching for 30 years.
Mr. Mayes was preceded in death by wife Evelyn Monore Mayes
He is survived by his son, Robert Ralph Mayes of Sacramento CA, Sister, Janice Spivery and husband James of La Vergne, TN., Joyce Stahl of Murfreesboro, TN and nieces and her daughters, Jan, Julie, Jackie, and Jeannie. Niece- Debbie Spivey McClendon and husband Bobby, Great Niece, Cheyenne McClendon and Great Nephew, Clint Lane McClendon.
Mr. Hayes will be cremated and placed at All Saints Episcopal Church in Enterprise, AL.
