Robert Carlton Watson age 72 of Pumpkin Center, passed away on Wednesday August 8, 2017.
He was a member of East Walker Church of Christ. He was retired from Drummond Co. Shoal Creek Mine and was a member of the UMWA.
Funeral services will be Sunday August 12, 2018 at 2:00 pm in the New Horizon Memorial Chapel. Ministers Barry Bennett and L.T. Gurganus will officiate. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Church of Christ Cemetery. Visitation is Sunday from 12:30 – 2 pm at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carlton and Mildred Watson; Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Sandra Skelton Watson; daughters, Hope Cockrell (Steve) and Heather Wilson (Danny); grandchildren, Kala Garner (Joseph), Hannah Wright (Matthew), Micah Wilson and Sydney Cockrell; sister, Sharon Skelton (Glynn); brother, Jeffrey Watson (Faith); several nieces, nephews, other family members and a host of friends.
