Robert C. Simmons, 82, of Attalla Alabama passed away on Friday May 3, 2024 in Gadsden, Alabama. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Robert was preceded in death by his loving wife Linda Allen Simmons, his parents Clifford and Gladys Mae Simmons; his sister Carolyn Hayes, his grandson Eli Alex Simmons, and his mother and father in-law Clifford and Imogene Allen.
Left to cherish his memory are his sons Larry (Vicki) Simmons, and Wayne (Brandi) Simmons; his daughter Sherry (Dale) Barnett; his three grandchildren Cody (Madison) Simmons, Caleb Simmons, T.J. Simmons; and two great grandchildren Clifford James Simmons, Declan Lance Simmons, and a very special friend Jane Stowe.
Robert was retired from Goodyear Tire Company, and was an avid beekeeper. For a while he owned and operated Cliff’s Burgers in Attalla. He loved hunting with his sons and grandsons. He often carried his sons on his shoulders while bird hunting. He was a loving father and loved his grandsons with all of his being and he loved spending time with them outside. He drove the church bus and enjoyed being active with the kids at Sansom Avenue Church of Christ, while holding membership at Attalla Church of Christ.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
