Graveside service for Robert “Bobby” Wright, 81, of Hartselle will be Saturday, March 23, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Salem Methodist Church Cemetery, 3018 Barkley Bridge Road, Hartselle, AL 35640, with Bishop Bobby Powell officiating and Roselawn Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be today from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Wright, who died Tuesday, March 19, 2013, at Summerford Nursing Home, was born January 2, 1932, in Toledo, Ohio, to Joseph and Iris Wright. He retired as a Toll Test Technician for South Central Bell. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Billy and Russell; and two sisters, Doris and Jeanette.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Joyce Ann Wright; three sons, Robert D. Wright, Randall C. Wright and Jonathan A. Wright; two daughters, Denna R. Tucker and Beth W. Merrell; two brothers, Joe F. Wright and Mark G. Wright; three sisters, Carolyn L. Marty, Bonnie Marty and Sandy G. Holmes; nine grandchildren, Jason Tucker, Josh Tucker, Ben Tucker, Elisha Merrell, Leslie Wright, Nikkie Wright, Adam Wright, Breanna Merrell and Ellie Merrell; and one great-grandchild, Lillian K. Wright.
