Robert “Bobby” Harold Brown, 88, died Saturday, July 10, 2021 at a local nursing facility.
Bobby was born in Princeton, AL and grew up in Huntsville. He graduated from Huntsville High School and after a year at Auburn University, enlisted in the Army and served in Korea for three years. He was a journeyman electrician and recently marked 70 years as a member of the IBEW. He retired from TVA Browns Ferry in 2001. He enjoyed reading, playing pool, music, and old western movies. Bobby was a frequent visitor at the Huntsville Senior Center and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. He loved his family and always wanted to know how everyone was doing, especially his grandkids.
He is predeceased by his wife, Hazel B. Brown; and his parents, Dallas Bridges and Mildred Jewel Brown. Survivors include his son, John Robert Brown; daughter, Leigh Ann Perkins and husband, Brad; grandchildren, Jake Perkins and Emma Stephens and husband, Richard; sisters, Pat Kidd and Beverlye Brown and husband, Sam Mann; and nieces Teresa Cusa and Krista Fehler.
A private family gathering will be held.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Huntsville-Madison County Senior Center.
