Mr. Robert “Bobby” Daimwood Hardison, age 90, a resident of Columbia, passed away Monday, February 14, 2022, at Maury Regional Medical Center.

 

A private graveside service will be held at Jones Cemetery with Military Honors provided by the United States Air Force. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

 

A native of Maury County, Bobby was born on September 8, 1931, and was the son of the late Robert A Hardison and the late Willie Mae Dunnivant Hardison. He served twenty years in the United States Air Force before retiring. He owned and operated Hardison’s TV and Repair and Hardison Star TV Service for many years. Very musically inclined, Bobby played in several bands, once appearing on the Grand Old Opry. He also taught guitar lessons and was a guitar repairman. He loved riding motorcycles, was a car fanatic, and was a former member of The International King Midget Car Club.

 

He is survived by his wife, Gerry Chapel of Columbia, TN, son, Robin (Kim) Hardison of Jasper, TN, daughter, Brenda Burrows of Columbia, TN, stepchildren, Brenda (David M.) Smith of Columbia, TN, John R. (Sherrin) Chapel of Indiana, brother, Eddie (Dolly) Hardison, sister, Barbara (Johnny) Butler, grandchildren, Lee Ann Hardison, Jimmy Hardison, Amy Dean, Adrian Burrows, April Giesler, Katherine Hardison, Ryan Hardison, Kristina Hardison, and seven great grandchildren.

 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Steve Hardison, sister, Norma Moore, and brother, J.L. Hardison.
