Funeral service for Robert “Bob” Roy, 62, will be Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Greg Standridge and Rev. Jeff Standridge officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in New Friendship Cemetery in Somerville, AL. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 7, 2014 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mr. Roy died on Sunday, October 5, 2014 at his residence. He was born December 16, 1951, in Morgan County to Ottis Eual Roy and Clara Ruth Madry Roy. He was formerly a machine operator for Goodyear Tire Plant. He was a huge Alabama Fan, and was referred to as “Alabama Bob”. Bob loved fishing, playing golf and spending time with his grandkids. He was always laughing, joking and picking on everyone. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister: Brenda Tapscott.
