Robert (Bob) Layfette Patterson, 66, passed away February 8, 2024, at NMMC-Tupelo, MS. Bob was born and raised in Meridian, MS. He graduated from Meridian High School in 1976 and later graduated from Mississippi State University. He lived and worked in Memphis, TN, Nashville, TN, and San Francisco, CA and after retirement he returned to Pontotoc, MS. He leaves life-long friends from his entire life journey.
He is survived by two aunts, Donna Patterson, Tupelo, MS and Laura Patterson, Tupelo, MS; cousins, Jim Clingan, Barbara Jenkins, Debie Hutchinson, Joe Clingan, Teresa Darby, Steve Conley, Paula Coker, Cathy Waldrop, Herb Hellums, Ricky Patterson, Robby Patterson, Russ Patterson, Darlene Hamilton, and Cristy Sanders; his brother, Charles “Butch” Patterson; sister, Wanda Patterson; niece, Kendra DeVaughn; and nephew, Anthony DeVaughn.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Patsy Ruth DeVaughn Blackburn; and his parents, Charles Nelson and Elaine Patterson.
Service will be held at a later date.
