Robert (Bob) Harold Clement – Obituary

robertRobert (Bob) Harold Clement, 74, formerly of Sheffield, passed away peacefully with his beloved wife and children by his side in Gun Barrel City, Texas, on Tuesday evening, November 11, 2014.
After graduating from Sheffield High School, and serving in the Navy, he attended several training schools and worked as a computer engineer and instructor for several companies in many states, including Florida, Maryland, California, and Washington.
Mr. Clement was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and son. He was a great mentor and shared his skills and expertise with his family and friends. Bob had a quick wit, special smile, and defining laugh. He was an honorable man and was very proud of his family and their accomplishments. He was especially proud of his wife, who had become a successful artist. He enjoyed fishing, his poker day with friends, and riding in his golf cart with his special buddy “Cruiser” on his lap. He became an excellent cook and inherited gifted woodworking skills and ability to build and fix almost anything.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert E. Clement, Katherine Stockton Clement, Sheffield, and mother-in-law, Ethel Antoine, Mobile. His father-in-law Jack Antoine, 99, passed away Wednesday morning.
Survivors are his loving, devoted wife of 51 years, Meridel Antoine Clement, Texas; daughter, Michelle Dobbs (Wayne), Lynnwood, Washington; son, Adam Clement (Kim), Sherman, Texas; sister, Judy Clement Gray (Ron), Tuscumbia, Alabama; grandson, Tyler Dobbs (Alex); granddaughters, Megan and Kathryn Dobbs, Washington; uncles, Charles Clement, and Herbert Stockton (Carol), Sheffield; aunts, Johnnie Roberson (Carl), Sheffield, Betty Stockton, Florence, and Shirley Stockton, Tennessee; sisters-in-law, Jacqulyn Lovorn, Louisiana, and Bell Evelande, Idaho; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and -nephews.
The family extends special thanks to everyone for their continued prayers and to the many doctors and medical staffs for their excellent care. Mr. Clement donated his body for scientific research.
A celebration of life will be held in a private ceremony in Gun Barrel City, Texas, on Sunday.
