Robert “Bob” Edward Shafer II, age 65, of Athens, died Saturday, April 27, 2013, at Vanderbilt Medical Center. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and manager of Advanced Auto Parts, Athens.
A celebration of life will be Saturday, June 1, 2013, at 2 p.m. at the residence of Rosie Clack.
Mr. Shafer is survived by his wife, Diana Clack Shafer; children, Kathleen Shafer and Dennis Shafer (Amy Hinkle); grandson, Jacob Shafer; parents, Robert and Jeanne Shafer; mother-in-law, Rosie Clack; sisters, Elizabeth Counts and Betsy Hospador.
