When Bob was a youngster in a car seat, he would roll the window down to listen to engines at a red light. He loved to hear the sound! The stage was set for his avid interest in working on cars & mini trucks, putting in sound systems, & customizing them with hydraulics. He could even sketch flames on the sides.
Bob always said when it was his time to go, God would take him home. He went home on April 14th, during his sleep. He was 41 years young.
Bob grew up in Hoover, then moved to McCalla & graduated from Gilmore-Bell where he learned welding. He worked as a welder for several years, helping his dad with his business of ornamental iron welding. He moved to Dora, where he attended Bevill State Community College, earning a certificate in AutoBody Repair.
He bought his own home in Bremen, AL, with a large garage where he could work on his trucks.
Bob was loved by many friends! He never met a stranger. He is best remembered for his acts of kindness to others, usually involving giving them something they needed, or rescuing them in the middle of the night.
He leaves behind his mother, Dianne Sox, his sister Sheri Sox Henson, & extended family of aunts, uncles, & cousins. He was preceded in death by his dad, Robert Sox, Sr.
