Robert “Bob” Curtis Eldridge, Sr., 74, of Florence, passed away July 9, 2023, at his home surrounded by his loved ones. Bob was born in Tsingtao, China but resided most of his young life in California until relocating to Alabama in 1993. Bob loved camping, fishing and time with his family, especially his grandchildren and his great-granddaughter. One of his favorite pastimes was taking his grandkids out on his boat in the Tennessee River. He loved to travel, especially to the beaches in Florida.

Visitation will be Friday, July 14. 2023 from 12 – 2 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 2 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Park with Tim Grigsby officiating.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, William and Beverly Eldridge and his son-in-law Jeremy Burgess.

Bob is survived by his loving wife, Edna Eldridge, sons Robert Eldridge Jr (Michelle) and Robert Noble. Daughters Erin McMurry (Greg), Amanda Burgess and Rhonda Crochiere (Eric). Brothers Bill Eldridge (Janet), Randall Eldridge (Janice) and Thomas Eldridge (Debbie). His grandchildren Austin Burgess, Jaylyn McMurry, Hailey McGee, Maddie McGee and Tessa McGee. And his one-and-only great granddaughter Letty Kaye. Also, several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Eric Crochiere, Jim Donahue, Austin Burgess, David Bell, Stephen Ringer, and Bill Stevenson.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Robert Eldridge, Jr., Robert Noble, Greg McMurry and Rodney Holden. The family would like to say a special thank you to Dr. Kenneth Rose and Shoals Hospice, especially his special Nurse Jami Terry for taking care of him in his final days.
