Memorial service for Robert Allen “Bobby” Smith, age 33, of Decatur,
will be Friday, June 14, 2013, 12:00 p.m. at Annunciation of the Lord Catholic Church.
The family will receive friends for one hour prior to service.
Shelton Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Bobby, who passed away Sunday, June 9, 2013, at Parkway Medical Center,
was born April 8, 1980, in Dothan,
to Richard Allen Smith and Shawn Eleen Baugher Smith.
He had been a resident of Decatur since 1996.
Mr. Smith was employed by BMSI, and was a U. S. Army veteran
who served in Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom.
He is survived by his wife, MaryEllen Smith of Decatur;
four daughters, Shiloh Smith, Kaitlin Smith,
Samantha Murphy, and Madison Murphy, all of Decatur;
one son, Alexander Murphy of Decatur;
his parents, Rick and Shawn Smith of Decatur;
two sisters, Amy Michaluk of San Francisco, CA, and Emily Grossman of Seattle, WA;
grandmother, Betty Smith of Decatur; and several nephews and nieces.
In lieu of flowers the family respectfully requests memorial donations
be made to National Association for Down Syndrome,
