Robert Allen “Bob” Shannon, Jr., aged 76, of Springfield, Tennessee, passed away at his home in Goodlettsville, Tennessee, on Thursday, December 16, 2021. The family will receive friends from 12pm until time of the Memorial Service at 2pm on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at the Austin & Bell Funeral Home, Springfield.
Mr. Shannon was born March 13, 1945 to the late Robert A. “Bobby” Shannon, Sr. of Brentwood, Tennessee.
He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Diane Shannon, of Goodlettsville, Tennessee; mother, Jeanne Traughber of Springfield, Tennessee; son, Robert A. “Allen” Shannon, III and his wife, Rena, of Hermitage, Tennessee; daughter, Jennifer L. Shannon of Franklin, Kentucky; brother Charles M. Shannon and his wife Susan, of Springfield, Tennessee; grandchildren: Caitlin Shannon, Alison Cribb, Rebecca Shannon, Philip Shannon and great granddaughter, Annabelle Jackson.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
