Robert A. “Bob” Rutledge, 90, Huntsville, passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2015.Mr. Rutledge was a retired Major, U.S. Army. He served as a combat engineer in the South Pacific during WWII, an infantryman during the Korean War, and as an Ordnance Missile Officer form 1956 to 1966. He was a mental health worker in Huntsville and retired from Crestwood Hospital. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bobbie Rutledge and a son, R. Michael Rutledge. He is survived by his daughters, Theresa Kay Fornas of St. Petersburg, FL and Melody Rutledge of Fayetteville, TN; two granddaughters, Callie Rachel Rutledge Arrington of Murfreesboro, TN and Olivia Grace Arrington of Fayetteville, TN. Services will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the First Christian Church. Berryhill Funeral Home is assisting the family.
