Funeral service for Robby Brock, age 57, of Decatur will be 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at Faith Tabernacle Church with Rev. Anthony Simmons and Rev. Wade Collins officiating and Parkway Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 18, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home, and for one hour prior to service at the church. Interment will be in Midway Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Brock, who died, Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at his residence, was born November 30, 1966, in Alabama to Zane and Phyllis Brock. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, James R. and Evelyn I. Brock, and Earl and Gladys Ready. Robby was a Gold Medal Special Olympic swimmer. He worked at Pizza Hut for 12 years, and Terrell Industries in Hartselle, AL. Robby attended Faith Tabernacle Church where he assisted with baptisms. He loved to travel and stay in hotels. Robby loved to fish every day of his life. He loved to watch his sister and nieces play ball.
He is survived by his parents, Zane and Phyllis Brock; sister, Zanna Claiborne (Greg); and four nieces, Cadence Claiborne, Evelyn Claiborne, Brianna Lester (Carson), and Ashtin Claiborne.
Pallbearers will be Greg Claiborne, Michael Jackson, Scott Jackson, Ricky White, Wayne Staggs, Justin Brock, Houston Brock, Camden Brock, Chris Queen, and Dalton Queen. Honorary pallbearers will be the Decatur/Morgan County Special Olympics Swim Team.
