Robbie Mae Ledlow, 81, of Killen passed away on Sunday, September 7, 2014 at ECM Hospital. Visitation will be from 12 to 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 10 at Killen First Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. with Bro. David McKelvey officiating. Born near Rogersville on May 2, 1933 to James and Nora Mae Springer Johnson, Robbie graduated from Rogersville High School. She worked as a Beautician in Killen for over 20 years. She was a member of Killen First Baptist Church for over 50 years where she enjoyed helping put together care packages for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. She also dedicated her time to the Killen Senior Center.
Survivors include her husband of 44 years, Alton R. Ledlow; son, Greg Jones of Harvest; sisters, Nella Johnson Neiswender of Washington State, June Johnson Glaser of Nashville, Tennessee; and brothers, Dennie Johnson (Samme) of Flowery Branch, Georgia and Bobby Johnson (Hazel) of Decatur, Alabama.
Robbie was preceded in death by her parents, seven brothers, and one sister.
Pallbearers will be Jim Johnson, Terry Thomas, Dallan Ledlow, Kendal Ledlow, Jerry Fagan, Mike Herston, Leon Smith, and Prentice Johnson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Robbie’s Sunday School Class.
