Robbie Oswalt Profile PhotoRobbie Lynn Bennett Tutor Oswalt, 58, died Saturday, January 6, 2024, at North Mississippi Medical Center. She was born on August 1, 1965, to Charles Bennett and Ann Henderson Bennett. Robbie is the widow of Stanley Tutor after 38 years of marriage. She later married Claude Oswalt on October 1, 2019. Robbie was a longtime Certified Nurse Assistant with North Mississippi Health Services where she worked home hospice a few years, but spent the majority of her time at the NMMC hospice unit. She enjoyed crocheting and was very talented. During her time on the hospice unit she taught other nurses to crochet and together they made and gave butterflies to hospice patient’s families to spread joy. Following her time with NMMC she was a seamstress at Williams’ Upholstery. Robbie loved her church and, before her declining health, was an active member of Living Water Community Church. Robbie was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, who cherished her time with family.

She is survived by her husband, Claude Oswalt of Mooreville; eight children, Amos Tutor (Aston) of Houlka, Jennifer Langley (Ryan) of Mantachie, Casondra Tutor of Tupelo, Elizabeth Carroll (Chuck) of Cumming, Georgia, Mallory Williams (Ben) of Sherman, Gloria Cockrell of Calhoun County, LeeAnn Ross (Johnny) of Saltillo, and Tammy Oswalt of Mooreville; nine grandchildren, Zach Tutor, Madison Tutor, Bailey Tutor, Marli McCown, Devin McCown, Ridge Langley, Jensen Langley, Marilynn Stark, and Aarley Stark; one brother, Matt Bennett (Janice) of Randolph; two sisters, Angie Hester of Randolph, and Candy Hill (Brian) of Pontotoc; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Bennett and Ann Bennett Hicks; husband, Stanley Tutor; son-in-law, Dakota Cockrell; and brother-in-law, Danny Hester.

Visitation will be 4 until 7 p.m. Monday, January 8, 2024, at Pegues, Tupelo.

Services honoring Robbie’s life will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 9, 2024, at the Jefferson Street Chapel of Pegues with Bro. Phillip Carr and Bro. Tim Bullock officiating. Private graveside services will follow in Mount Vernon Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Thomas Westmoreland, Chris Moore, Ryan Langley, Ben Williams, Johnny Ross, Doug Bennett, and Will Bennett.

Chuck Carroll and Josh Bennett will serve as honorary pallbearers.
