ATHENS-ON Saturday, June 6 a man was robbed in the parking lot of the Wal-Mart in Athens. Here is what the Athens Police know about the incident:

“On Saturday night between 11:00 and midnight in the Wal-Mart parking lot a black male wearing a black “Sean John” cap asked a Hispanic male for help opening his trunk. The Hispanic male was then taken to the suspect’s vehicle a silver four door Mazda. The men tried to open the trunk then the black male told the Hispanic male to get inside the car and see if the back seats would fold down allowing access to the trunk. When the Hispanic male got in the back seat he was hit in the head by a second black male. The two black males then took a set of car keys, Nokia cell phone and $37.00 cash from the Hispanic male. The second black male was wearing a tie dye t-shirt and a redcap with “SC” on it. The victim was able to get out of the car and run.
