Faye Roberts Profile PhotoRita Faye Wells Roberts, 77, passed away at her residence in the Athens Community on Wednesday, December 27, 2023.  Faye was born 6 minutes after her twin sister, Kaye on November 29, 1946 in Aberdeen to the late John F. and Mozelle Self Wells. She grew up in the Lackey Community and was a graduate of Aberdeen High School.  Faye married Jerry Roberts in 1963.  She was the administrator of Hillcrest Manor in Aberdeenn for 20 years.  Later on she managed several hotels in Monroe and Lowndes County.  Faye was an accomplished golfer, winning several tournaments and even hitting a hole in one at the Aberdeen Country Club.  She also enjoyed fishing, reading and tending to her plants.  She was a devoted mother, grandmother and sister.  She loved to cook and it brought her great joy to have all of her family around the table for a meal.

Faye is survived by her 2 sons, Jerry Glenn Roberts, Jr of Starkville and John Scott Roberts (Wanda) of the Athens Community; twin sister, Kaye Wells Irvin (Robert), Lackey; brother, Robert Vern “R.V.” Wells of Hamilton; grandchildren, Courtney Nicole Williams (Bradley) and Kameryn Alexis Irby (Jacob); great grandchildren, Kylee Grace Williams and Oakley Reese Williams; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Virginia Pounders and Robert “Bobby” Hill.

In addition to her parents, Faye is preceded in death by 3 brothers, Hub, Cliff and Billy Hugh Wells.

Funeral Services will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at Cleveland Moffett Funeral Home in Amory with Bro. Greg Huguley officiating.  Burial will follow in Beeks Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Neil Roberts, Bradley Williams, Jacob Irby, Robert Irvin, Mark Mitchell and Charlie Williams.

Visitation will be prior to the service on Saturday from 11 AM until 12:45 PM.
