Rita Faye GuessRita Faye McAllister Guess, age 90 of Stevenson, Alabama was escorted into Heaven’s portals on Monday February 22, 2021. Faye was a devoted mother, wife, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother who loved her family more than anything. She was a faithful member of Campbell’s Chapel Church where she taught Sunday school and played the piano for many years. She was a skillful seamstress who enjoyed quilting, crocheting, embroidering, and bead-making. Two favorite past times were bird-watching and playing her Omni chord. Her passing leaves her family and friends with sadness but also rejoicing.

Faye is preceded in death by her husband, James Floyd Guess; son Jimmy Wayne Guess; son-in-law David McDonald; great-grandson Dakotah Ray Durham; parents Charlie Lee McAllister and Bertha Evadean Beavers McAllister; brother Horace McAllister; and brother Grady Lee McAllister.

Faye is survived by her children Linda Joyce Guess McDonald, Johnny Edwin Guess (Brenda), Debra Guess Weeks (Rick), Larry Andrew Guess (Nancy), and Randy Martin Guess; daughter-in-law Sheila Smith Guess; grandchildren Stacy McDonald Duckett (Lemuel), Tracy Damon McDonald (Misty), Benjamin Guess (Babylynn), Brian Adam Guess (Debbie), Jimmy Matthew Guess (Summer), Mekisha Guess Suddath, Christopher Guess (apple), Jared Guess, Tyler Guess, Conner Guess, Patrick Weeks, Jeremy Guess (Amy), Amy Guess Campbell, Kaleb Guess, Derek Guess, Patrick Weeks; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; her sister Gladys McAllister Smith.
Visitation will be Thursday Feb. 25, 2021 from 12:00-2:00 p.m. at Rudder Funeral Home Chapel, Stevenson, AL. & Funeral service will begin at 2:00 P.M., with Bro. Brandon Evans & J. Matthew Guess officiating. Interment at Long Acre Cemetery, Stevenson, AL.
