Rita Faye Mangrum, age 65, of Lewisburg, Tennessee, died Tuesday, November 26th, 2024, at St. Thomas West Hospital.
She was born April 2nd, 1959, in Michigan, to the late Leeland “Sarge” and Mary Brantley Baxter. She retired as owner of ‘Classic Cleaning” and was a member of Faith Assembly. Rita was a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend. She was known by many as “Granny Rita”. Rita graduated in 1976 and loved to bake, read, and make quilts. She also had a passion for travel.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, James Garrett and a brother, Bobby Baxter.
She is survived by her husband, William “Mike” Mangrum; two daughters, Michelle Wilson-Duff (Deisko) of Lewisburg and Allison (Jason) Sanders of Unionville; two sons, Dean Hayes of Lewisburg and Jason Mangrum of Shelbyville; one sister, Pam (David) Cox of Lewisburg, one brother, Terry (Nila) Baxter of Minor Hill; eleven grandchildren, Migel (Natalie) Wilson, Aiden Hayes, Bryndon Wilson, Katelyn Price (Jacob), Maggie Sanders, Shayla Anderson, Zeke Mangrum, Becca Jo, Peggy Sue, Lakenzie and Khamani Duff; one great grandchild, Brooks Price; one sister-in-law, Becky Baxter of Lewisburg and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Visitation with the family will be held at London Funeral Home, 324 West Church Street, Lewisburg, Tennessee, on Sunday, December 1st, 2024, from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm with cremation to follow.
