Rita Dempsey, 63 of Toney, passed away on Wednesday, May 12th, 2021 at her residence. Mrs. Dempsey was born on June 14th, 1957 to Charles Towe and Marie Rix Towe.
Mrs. Dempsey is survived by her husband of 46 years, Johnny Dempsey; daughters Janice Usery of Toney, and Jessica Cluxton (Brandon) of Arab; grandchildren Chasity, Jonathan, Terence, and Deanna; great-grandchildren Blake and Rylan; brothers Jimmy Towe of Athens, Jackie Towe (Nita) of Elkmont, and Johnny Towe (Marquita) of Trinity; and sisters Ruby Tucker (Tommy) of Athens and Angie Sides (Chris) of Athens.
Preceded in death by her parents, and sister Peggy Baldwin.
Funeral services for Mrs. Dempsey will be on Saturday, May 15th, 2021 at 2:00pm at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Donald Terry officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00-1:45pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Reunion Cemetery.
