Rita Carol Austin Beasley, 75, passed away Friday, January 5, 2024, at NMMC-Tupelo, MS. Known as Aunt Rita to all, she was a caregiver to her late husband, and a loving mother and sister. Rita loved her yorkie, Roxie, watching Hallmark movies, fishing, and riding the backroads.
Survivors include her brother, Jerry Austin (Sandra) of Pontotoc; her son, Ben Beasley (Jenna); niece Michelle McCord (John Ray); great nephew, Tanner McCord; great niece, Kaitlyn McCord; and numerous loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard “Buddy” Beasley; and her parents, Loss and Kathleen Austin.
Services will be Sunday, January 7, 2024, at 3PM at Baldwin Memorial Funeral Home in Pontotoc. Visitation will begin at 1PM and continue to service time. Burial will follow in Sherman City Cemetery.
