Rita Brown passed away on September 26, 2024 at age 69 surrounded by family. The Funeral Service, conducted by Brother Danny Sellars, is 1 p.m. Monday, September 30, 2024 in the chapel of Sellars Funeral Home, Lebanon TN. Interment in the Vine Community Barrett Family Cemetery will follow the service. Family will serve as Pallbearers. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 4-8 p.m. and on Monday from 11 a.m. until the service at 1 p.m.
Rita Fay Reynolds Brown was born in Lebanon TN to Delia Earlene Lane and Carl Reynolds. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Her life was well lived and her love for others was deep so her nicknames of Best Mama, Best Granny, Best Friend, and the Fun Aunt were well deserved. Every day was full of laughter and joy. Her faith determined her path and her daily Bible readings provided the light. She enjoyed tending her flowers, cooking, collecting and selling antiques, shopping, and auctions, always with a family member or friend with her or on her mind.
Mrs. Brown is survived by her children: Charles “Bud” (Deana) Brown Jr., Christa Brown, and Carla Brown; grandchildren: Emily Brown, Brandon (Madison) Crawford, Matthew Hayes, Kayleigh Hayes, Cloe Brown, and Carson Brown; siblings: Brenda Ballard and Freida Beazley; numerous nieces and nephews; and great-grandchildren: Tajiana Bass and Mason Crawford. She is preceded in death by husband of 50 years Charles Lewis Brown Sr., parents Earlene and Carl Reynolds, sister Wilma Bass, brother Carl Reynolds Jr., and grandparents Lee Sullivan Lane and Walter Lane, Ollie Hardcastle Reynolds and John F. Reynolds.
